Volkswagen business is booming as sales increase, reporting an increase in 2011 of 26.3%. VW has no intentions of slowing this trend anytime soon and has been working on improvements and updates sure to please the the VW enthusiast. Following the redesigned Beetle and Passat, comes the redesigned 2013 VW CC.
First introduced in 2009, the Passat-based Volkswagen CC brought a sense of upscale luxury to the VW brand.
The main fundamentals of the car will remain the same with a few exceptions. The front end of the CC flashes a new chrome grille, redesigned headlamps with LED daytime running lights and an upgraded bumper. It’s a similar story at the rear end that gains LED tail lamps and new boot and bumper designs.
The interior features new climate controls and trim options, and stainless steel door sills. One upgrade that stands out in the 2013 CC is that there is now seating for five, with a three-seat rear bench taking the place of two individual buckets. Here in the Unites States, the VW CC includes a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 200HP and a 280HP 3.6-liter V6. There will be no change the 2013 models. There will be the addition of driver assistance systems, such as the Side Assist Plus with Lane Assist that warns you of vehicles in the car’s blind spots and, if necessary, makes the required direction changes to avoid an accident. The updated 2013 CC models, which are predicted to be on German roads in February and subsequently in the rest of Europe and the U.S, can also be ordered with Dynamic Light Assist and a traffic sign detection system.
